Missourians interested in using native plants can purchase seeds, plugs, plants in pots and plants with ball and burlap.

 

Plugs are seedlings and often are sold to retail nurseries, which grow them to a larger size fore resale. They also are used in plantings that call for an economically sized plant.

 

Plants in pots are one to three (or more) years old and have a well-established root system. Pots come in a variety of sizes, including quart, and numerous sizes of gallon containers.
